Answers to common questions about working with VdVLaw
01
What types of cases do you work on?
VdVLaw supports criminal defense, family law matters with criminal crossover, civil cases involving complex documents, and legislative or policy research projects. If your case involves large volumes of material that need careful review and clear organization, get in touch.
02
Do you work with attorneys outside of the Sacramento region?
Yes. While the primary focus is Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, Amador, and San Joaquin counties, VdVLaw serves attorneys and organizations statewide. Most work is done remotely with secure file handling.
03
How are files and documents handled securely?
All case materials are handled with strict confidentiality. Files are transferred and stored securely and are never shared with third parties. Discretion is a core part of every engagement.
04
How do I get started?
Use the contact form or reach out directly by email or phone. A brief conversation about your project is usually enough to determine scope, timeline, and rate.
05
Do you offer flat rate or project based pricing?
Most engagements are billed hourly at the rates listed on the Services page. For larger projects a flat rate or project based arrangement can be discussed.
06
Are you an attorney?
No. VdVLaw provides legal support services and does not provide legal advice or representation. All work is delivered to and directed by the attorney of record.
