Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the internet?
No. Everything runs from the drive in your browser, on Windows or Mac. Nothing is uploaded or tracked, and nothing needs an account or a login.
Is this legal advice?
No. It is a drafting and reference library for attorneys. You review every document, check current law and local rules, and personally verify every citation before filing.
Who can buy it?
California attorneys practicing criminal defense. I confirm your State Bar number before your drive is made.
What do updates include?
New statutes take effect January 1, and court rules, Judicial Council forms and local rules change January 1 and July 1. Each update brings replaced forms, your counties' new local rules, flagged statutes and a dated change log. Your own motions are never touched.
SO ORDERED is a drafting and reference library sold to California attorneys. It is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship; the attorney who uses it reviews every document and verifies every citation before filing. Screens shown use a sample attorney, John Testman, who is not a real person.
